Xenical Overview

Xenical Medication Overview – Lose Weight the Safe Way

Xenical (orlistat) is a prescribed weight loss medication that is taken by mouth before, or up to one hour after consuming any meal containing fat. Xenical has been clinically proven to absorb up to 30% of fat from calories contained in the food that we eat—which our bodies would otherwise process and absorb into the system. When taken as directed by your doctor, Xenical can successfully prevent you from gaining extra fat, and when taken in combination with the proper diet and exorcise Xenical has shown to help people shed the unwanted pounds and extra weight in a natural and healthy manner, and at surprisingly quick rate.

How Should I Take Xenical?

Only take Xenical as directed by your doctor. Xenical is intended to be taken by mouth with liquid before, during, or up to one hour following a meal that contains fat from calories. Xenical can be taken up to three times per day with each meal containing fat. If you miss a dosage of Xenical do not double-dose, simply take your next dose during the next meal that you consume which contains fat. Xenical is not to be taken more than three times per day, and furthermore there has not been any conclusive evidence that suggests by taking this medication more than three times per day it will have any additional weight loss effects. Always make sure to ask your doctor about any important dosing questions that you may have regarding the usage of this prescription drug.

How does Xenical Work?

Our digestive systems use enzymes called lipases to help break down, digest and absorb fat into the system. Xenical works by attaching to these lipases, and by not allowing them to break down all of the fat. In fact, Xenical allows for up to 30% of all fat consumed during each meal to be shed from the body through the bowels, and not absorbed and stored in the system.

Advantages of Xenical:

There are countless advantages to using Xenical. For one, you can know that your body is working overtime to get rid of that excess fat you consume during each meal instead of storing it and gaining unwanted weight. You will begin to feel healthier with each passing day as you shed the weight using Xenical. Xenical does require a commitment on the part of patients. You must commit to eating healthier foods that contain no more than 30% calories from fat during each meal, in order to see the success you want to see from taking this prescribed weight loss drug.
