How to Take Staxyn
Staxyn comes as a dissolvable tablet to take by mouth, usually placed under the tongue. This medication is not approved for daily use and should only be taken as needed. Take Staxyn approximately 60 minutes before engaging in sexual activity. If you have any health conditions or are taking certain medications, please make sure to speak with your doctor. Your doctor may tell you to take Staxyn less often. Make sure to carefully follow the directions on your prescription label, and ask your doctor or pharmacist any questions you may having involving the drug. Take Staxyn exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not increase of decrease your dosage without first consulting your doctor. Do not take it more often than prescribed.
Your doctor will probably start you on a low to average dose of Staxyn and increase or decrease your dose depending on your response to the medication. Tell your doctor if Staxyn is not working well for you or if you are experiencing any lingering or unpleasant side effects.
Differences between Staxyn, Viagra, and Levitra
All FDA-approved ED medications to date have been fairly similar in regards to how they work. They are all considered PDE5 Inhibitors, which allow you to have better developed and maintained erections. However, each product has its own individual differences in terms of results. Viagra is known to be the strongest or most "potent" of these medications, though cannot be taken daily. Levitra is known for being the fastest acting of the three. Staxyn is one of the safest and newest ED medications on the market. It has fewer side effects and is comparable to Levitra.

Due to the licensing arrangement with Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals, Staxyn will be exclusively marketed in the U.S. by GSK and Merck. GSK and Merck have made this prescription widely available in the beginning of 2011.
